Did you know by this time in 2020, Wichita’s first Torchy’s Tacos should be open?
It’s coming to the southwest corner of 21st and Rock Road in the former Clark’s Fine Jewelers/Mattress Firm space next door to Pizza Hut. No time frame has been set on when it will open but the rumor is mid to late 2020.
I’ve been to a Torchy’s Tacos location with friends in Texas before years ago and remember all of us liking but then again, I’ve lost a lot of brain cells since that time. If you’re unfamiliar with Torchy’s Tacos, they started out as a food trailer in Austin, TX. Since then, they’ve grown to over 80 locations in the U.S. The closest locations are in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Edmond and Norman.
As you can guess, the restaurant specializes in tacos. Their motto is ‘Damn Good’ tacos. Here’s a copy of one of their menus. You’ll notice they also feature a Taco of the Month.
