A new bakery recently opened up out west by Maple & Ridge. They even have a clever name, Weirdough Bakery. We stopped by not long ago to check out what all they had.

We swung by a little later in the morning, and they didn’t have much available but we grabbed what we could
I ordered a couple cinnamon rolls, a muffin and a scone to go. The cinnamon rolls were $4 each while everything else was $2.50 and $3 respectively.
Starting off with the scone, it wasn’t your traditional scone but I loved it. I’m a big coffee cake fan and that was what it reminded me of. The blueberry muffin was just as good with my only drawback was its lack of moisture.
For the finale, we all shared the cinnamon rolls between the four of us. They used a cream cheese frosting which wasn’t our preference compared to the alternative. On top of that, the rolls were heavy on the dough with not much cinnamon to it. We were hoping the rolls would be a little on the softer and firmer side, but they weren’t.
Aside from the cinnamon rolls, everything else was a huge positive. With Weirdough Bakery just opening, it had more wins than losses. We don’t want to be too critical as we’ve had their pastries at other outlets before and loved it. So we will definitely return as time goes on to get another look at this west side bakery.
