Coming January 15, 2020 to 6600 W Central Avenue will be Sam’s Southern Eatery According to their website, the chain based out of Louisiana specializes in “Offering high quality food, healthy eating options, and generous portions at competitive prices is what drives our success.”
They made the announcement via their Facebook page. The location may be familiar to most people as the former Marcos Cantina space out west which also held the very short-lived Pueblo Viejo Family Mexican Restaurant.
The full-service sit down will have catfish, po boys, burgers, shrimp, oysters, chicken and an assortment of other fried items. Their logo says they are “Home of the Jumbo Shrimp”. I’m always game for Southern cuisine so have this one on my calendar.
