My friend had a surprise birthday party over the weekend. To celebrate, his wife set up a taco bar and had the back area of Public at the Brickyard reserved for him.
For those wondering, the back area isn’t a private closed off space. It’s an open area but can be reserved for such events. We had a separate bar area open for the party and plenty of seating available for the 25+ people in attendance.
For the buffet, they had tables lined up against the back wall.
The buffet line included two different styles of tortillas, pork and brisket, chips rice, beans, and an array of different salsas and toppings to choose from. I was a big fan of their pickled red onions and the elote.
Everybody seemed to really enjoy the tacos including myself. Yes, I was that pig who got in line again for seconds. The brisket was incredibly flavorful and tender; I couldn’t resist!
Their servers did an amazing job that evening taking care of all of those in attendance. It was a nice, kid-friendly environment with a great vibe. While it’s not often I review this type of deal, I wanted to give some props to Public on a job well done.
