One of the most visited spots for food that is rarely ever talked about is QuikTrip’s Roller Grill.
If you’ve never heard of it, it’s located inside every single QuikTrip. You can’t miss it.
According to their website:
Our abundance of roller grills offer a range of tasty treats for a great value, from a classic all beef hot dog to a corn dog to various taquitos, and other limited time items.
As mentioned, some things come and go and some things are there all the time. On a recent visit, there were ten items available on the grill and I decided why not try them all and rank them from 1-10 because everybody loves a subjective list, right?
Let’s start off with the basics. Everything on the roller grill is $1.59 or 2 for $2.69. Here’s what’s available on the roller grill:
- Buffalo chicken bites with cheese
- Pork chile verde taquito
- Cheesy pepper jack taquito
- Spicy chicken taquito
- Steak & cheese taquito
- Corn Dog
- Egg roll
- Jalapeno cheddar smoked sausage
- Polish sausage
- Hot dog
I purchased one of everything, received a weird look from the friendly cashier as I smiled with glee with all my roller grill items.
I tried to eat at least half of everything before I could feel the punch to my gut.
Everybody probably has their own favorites from the roller grill but here’s how I would rank all the items from 1-10.
- Pork chile verde taquito – Anything chile verde wins for me
- Buffalo chicken bites with cheese – These have a nice spicy kick that I love
- Egg roll – While I love Vietnamese style eggrolls, who would have though QT eggrolls were pretty tasty?
- Steak & cheese taquito – Probably the second favorite for me of all the taquito options
- Spicy chicken taquito – And then followed by the spicy chicken
- Hot dog – I’m such a sucker for hot dogs
- Polish sausage
- Cheesy pepper jack taquito
- Jalapeño cheddar smoked sausage
- Corn Dog – I’m just not a corn dog guy
I should add that if you want to enhance the flavor of any of these items, try drinking massive amounts of alcohol before consumption of food. Because otherwise it’s not the best food in the world but it sure is convenient when you’re on the go.

For me, it pretty much starts and ends with the Buffalo chicken cheese, and sometimes an egg roll for variety. They test-marketed a “loaded baked potato roller” that I wish they had kept, but I think it wasn’t stable enough for the rollers, they broke apart too easily.
Steak and Cheese Taqs never fail ❤️
My favorites are the Pepper Jack Taquito or a hot dog. I don’t have a favorite hot dog topping I like all of the ones they offer. I get whatever I am in the mood for that day.
Buffalo Chicken bites on a bun with onion straws and ranch. 2 for 2.69 and a large drink.
After “massive amounts of alcohol” they are all fantastic. Even without alcohol these things are awesome. Forget 1am trips to taco bell before they close.
Those cheesy hot dogs they used to have (no mot the spicy dogs)!! The egg rolls are tasty! I do like hotdogs (bun + relish and toppings+ mustard and finally the hot dog on top so the toppings go in my mouth and NOT on the floor!!!
I’m gonna try the Korean Beef Taquito and I agree … gross on corn dogs!!
