Trying to break the monotony of the same meals at home, we decided to get out of the house (aka drive thru) and get one of the family meal deals being advertised in Wichita. After little debate, we went with Chick N Max.
With three locations to choose from, we stopped by the 352 S West which had a drive-thru.

Here lately they have been advertising a $20 Family Meal Deal which included 12 chicken tenders, two sides and bread. They also have an extremely affordable $2 Wichita Proud Boxed Meal which includes two drumsticks, a side and bread.
Just get a load of this from our new TikTok channel….. thanks to the kids for helping me figure out how to use this app.
@wichitabyeb$20 FAMILY MEAL! Or the $2 Hometown Heroes meal!!!! Support local. Drive Thru Available!!! EAT GOOD FOOD!!!!♬ Sick of Love – instrumental
We called in our order over the phone and picked it up via their drive-thru.
First up was the family meal which came in a big bucket with two family sized sides and four pieces of bread. We went with the Mac & Cheese and the mashed potatoes.
Then their big special that’s been popular was the $2 Wichita Proud Boxed Meal.
One of the kids prefers drumsticks so this was right up his alley. He’s not always the quickest eater but ran right through those drumsticks which had to have meant they were great.
Everything came out fresh and was still nice and warm by the time we arrived home. The chicken wasn’t soggy at all. The breading was light, soft and almost fluffy-like while the chicken itself was tender and flavorful.
There was more than enough food to feed the four of us. It’s likely Chick N Max leftovers will be what’s for my next meal.
I asked the kids who can be picky if Chick N Max was worthy of being in the regular rotation of to go restaurants which they replied, “Yes”. Sounds like we have a winner.
