There’s a coffee shop over on east Douglas I never knew existed until recently. If you’re driving down the street, you may pass it like I did. But I’m here to tell you coffee aficionados that if you’re cruising around town looking for coffee, be sure to stop by Common Grounds Coffee House.

By no means do I consider myself a coffee drinker. Will I drink it? Yes but I’m not in the business of reviewing coffee shops. At the same time, people come here to learn about new places. I’m of the thought process if you’re a big fan of something, it’s best to try all the options out there. So if anything, use this as a resource to learn about another option for coffee.
Common Grounds Coffee House is located just west of Hillside off of Douglas in a house turned makeshift coffee house. There’s parking in the back of the building. Inside there was plenty of seating in different areas of the coffee…..house. But with COVID-19, the interior was closed off.
The menu includes many different drinks, sandwiches and breakfast items. I opted for a Peruvian Latte even though I have no idea what that is. Then I also ordered two sausage breakfast burritos. The burritos made for a great start to my morning; they were simple yet very filling.
Like I said, if you’re all about trying new places check out Common Grounds Coffee House.
