Food It Forward: Pinole Blue giving free meals to displaced restaurant workers

It’s the #FoodItForwardICT movement.

Many restaurants have been giving back to the community and we want to highlight those businesses who are doing what they can to bring a smile in terms of food.

The latest comes from a place you may have heard of in Pinole Blue. They are the locally-owned business best known for selling organic blue corn tortillas.

On Wednesday, April 8 from 1pm to 3pm, they want to pay it forward.

They will be giving nacho family platters, rice and beans to displaced restaurant workers. They have enough for the first 50 so it’s first come, first serve.

When you arrive to Pinole Blue located at 242 N. Cleveland St, just pull up near the entrance and follow their staff’s instructions. Tell them the restaurant you worked at. They will bring the meal to your car.

Ultimately their goal is to provide 50 meals every Wednesday until the end of April.

Our goal is to provide 50 meals every Wednesday until the end of April.

To help them continue feeding 50 meals – when you order from us, consider paying it forward by buying an extra Enchiladas order to help them feed displaced restaurant workers in April.

Give them some love on social media via their Facebook page.
