A visit to Rose Hill, KS brought us to another restaurant we were visiting for the first time: Las Fuentes Mexican restaurant. They are located in the former Coach’s Grill space on north Rose Hill Road.

The selection was similar to many of the Mexican restaurants in Wichita that have large menus. Fortunately Las Fuentes had just four pages compared to the 10+ pages others might have but it was still a lot of everything. So with that we ordered a big variety for our family. We had the beef burrito Jalisco, cheese quesadillas, beef fajitas, pork chili verde, kids burrito and rice and sopapillas.
To save you all some time, we felt the food was for the most part uninspiring. The fajitas were intensely salty. That came as a surprise to us as the rest of our meal was more on the bland side and could have used some salt. Unfortunately nothing really stood out as above average for us.
The sopapillas probably would have been much better had we been able to eat them fresh and at the restaurant. They didn’t hold up as well with the carryout.
While we’d love to rave about every restaurant we go to, this one just fell flat for us.
