Once Naftzger Park opened earlier this year, it was known among many food truck owners that the downtown ICT Pop-Up Urban Park would be done away with. That time is coming soon, end of the month to be exact. Monday, August 31 will be the final day for the park as we know it in its current state.
That doesn’t necessarily mean the park will close for good. Something different is set to take its place. What that is, we don’t know.
A press release and Facebook post was published explaining that the Pop-Up Park would close as the space was meant to be temporary from the start.
In the press release, it said, “This will allow the time and effort of managing the park to be used in reimagining the space with the public.”
At this moment, nobody knows how the space will transform for the future. If it were you, what would you do?
