Visiting Brunin Family Cafe in Andale, KS

I had to drive out one morning to Andale, KS. It’s an area of Kansas I’ve never been to before. While I was there, I figured why not see if something is pen for breakfast. Since there weren’t too many options to choose from, I went with Brunin Family Cafe. They seemed to come highly recommended by many people. It located right on Main Street in Andale and was my only dining stop as they were the only place open at the time.

Brunin Family Cafe certainly had the small-town diner look. There are booths to sit in along with tables and pictures of wolves, deer, birds and more adorned the walls.

The service was quick and friendly on my quick breakfast visit. I asked my server for suggestions, and she recommended either the Starvin Marvin or the Starvin Harvin. Because the Starvin Marvin had eggs with it (along with biscuits and gravy, cheese, ham and hashbrowns) I went with that asking for my eggs to be cooked over medium.

Holy comfort food was it delicious. Every bite had a mix of biscuits, gravy, cheese, ham, hashbrowns, and eggs. At first glance, it looked like a small plate but it was more than I needed. It was deceivingly filling. This breakfast was like a reality show all star cast. Brunin Family Cafe pulled together all the breakfast favorites together for one meal, combined them all into one house (or plate in this instance) and let the drama unfold.

The eggs were cooked as order, the biscuit was fluffy and it was all in all just a delicious meal.

The only thing that could have made my stop to Brunin Family Cafe was if they carried me to my car. That would have made a great visual for the locals….. watching a lady carry a grown man like a baby to his car.

Happy to stop by Andale for some good food. If you’re ever in the small town, stop by and get yourself some grub.

Happy Dining,
