More variety to the Wichita food truck fleet came along in the form of coxinha thanks to Brazita Bites. The newest food truck debuted in town over the weekend to big lines and a sell out thanks to many customers who showed up.
The new truck sells the Brazilian street food called coxinha which is bite size fried dough ball stuffed with meats and cheese that’s native to Brazil. I stopped by on their opening day to get a first-hand look at what you can expect.

Brazita Bites opening day menu included coxinha filled with your choice of chicken, beef, cheese, ham, or pepperoni. They also had churro bites filled with dulce de leite available along with Brigadeiro cups which were Brazilian chocolate truffles.
I placed my order ahead of time via their website. They had delivery and pickup orders but wanted to stop by and see the truck and just give my support on their opening day.
I had the pepperoni coxinha, churro bites and a single Brigadeiro cup.
The coxinha was awesome. It wasn’t what I expected either. Most people may be led to believe it would be something like a pizza roll but that wasn’t the case. It was definitely more filling and less airy than that. It was denser and heavier than I imagined. After a handful, it felt as though I was getting full.
There were three sauce options available (ketchup, BBQ sauce and sriracha) and I found the sriracha to best the best of the three when paired with the pepperoni coxinha.
The churro bites came out freshly fried. They were warm with plenty of sugar and cinnamon caked on to give it that amazing churro feel just in a smaller form. I found the bites to be easier to manage than a full-sized churro.
Meanwhile, the Brigadeiro cup was tiny. It’s really a treat best for one…..maybe. The Brazilian chocolate truffle was VERY rich so maybe it would be best for two.
All in all, it was a great first day for Brazita Bites. I highly enjoyed everything and the fact they sold out was a testament to how excited everyone else was as well.
Be sure to follow them on Facebook to see where they will be at next.
