All summer long, a food truck called Kind Kravings has been serving brunch on the weekends in front of the Tribal Roots warehouse at 707 S. Washington. They are Wichita’s first Vegan food truck that’s been around for six years. It’s been a while since I last ate at this food truck, so I wanted to stop by and revisit their food.

If you’re unfamiliar with Kind Kravings, they serve sustainable, cruelty-free, plant based home cooking.
If you follow this blog, you probably know this type of food isn’t generally something I eat. But at the same time, I try to keep an open mind to all foods.
I’m always down for brunch. Plus I was looking for a spot to have my weekly daddy/daughter breakfast date.
Being parked at the warehouse allowed them to have outdoor seating inside and outside on the beautiful morning.
After glancing through the menu, I went with the country breakfast as it was a little bit of everything. It consisted of biscuits, potatoes, tofu scramble, smothered in gravy and topped with coconut bacon.
For starters, I was blown away by the gravy. It was delicious, creamy but not in a heavy way. Every bit of food, I made sure to dip it in the gravy. Tofu isn’t something I’m necessarily fond of, but they prepared it in a way that gave it a scrambled egg texture and was fantastic when scooped up with the coconut bacon and biscuits. Speaking of the bacon, it tasted almost like turkey bacon.
Everything was a pleasant surprise. I say that because I’m guessing a majority of readers are like me. Plant-based foods are not something we venture out for. But I did this past weekend and loved what I had.
Kudos to Kind Kravings for offering something unique from many of the food trucks and making it delicious.
