17 new food trucks of 2020 to try before the end of the year

We are slowly approaching winter which means the food truck season is nearing its end. While some trucks operate year round, it’s a period that tends to be really slow for many of them. But before that time hits, I wanted to share with you all the fun new trucks that arrived this year.

While the weather is manageable, this could be a great time to eat local and visit some new eats that arrived in Wichita. Here are 17 new food trucks that could be worthwhile for you.

Pete’s Donut Shack

This food truck specializes in mini-donuts with many fun flavors. The owner, Pete, has been very active at many of the food truck events and still has an event coming up before the year ends.

My Madea’s Soul Food

My Madea’s is one of the new soul food trucks to arrive earlier this year. They have put on a new wrap job on the truck since the above picture was taken. If you love comfort food, they offer their version of Mississippi Southern comfort food.

Elotes La DOÑA

This is a brand-new food truck that opened in the past month. They’ve taken the social media food groups by storm with their colorful, inventive and mind-blowing elote creations.

The Snack Shack

One of the few BBQ trucks that arrived in town is called The Snack Shack. They have been all over town including Rose Hill and some of the local farmers markets.

Wade Waffle Co

If you love liege waffles with all sorts of zany different flavors, this transplant food truck from Lawrence, KS that arrived in Wichita earlier this year has your name all over it. Check out Wade Waffle Co for all things waffles.

Big B’s Beef

The once-popular restaurant reopened this summer to big lines. If you’re looking for Italian beef sandwiches, Chicago dogs and more, Big B’s Beef is the truck for you.

Flavors Coffee and Ice Cream Bar

Flavors which used to be located in Clifton Square can now be found in their mobile trailer. Fans of their coffee and ice cream can still find their goodies on the go.

Ray’s Food Express

Parked up north in Park City, Ray’s Food Express has all the American favorites like catfish, wings, BBQ, chicken and more.

Cheri’s Sweet Ride

The popular Cheri’s Bakery now has a food truck where they serve their delicious sweets with a twist.

Dunn Right BBQ

One of the few food trucks I have yet to visit and hope to knock out soon is Dunn Right BBQ that is from Park City.

Latino Dogs

From Houston, TX is the Latino Dogs mobile trailer. They serve hamburgers, hot dogs and other Mexican treats from their two trailers.

The Rolling Greek

If you remember Greek Plus from Towne West Square, you’ll love this truck as it’s the same menu on the go. Plus it’s the only Greek food truck in town.

Brazita Bites

The new food trucks this year have really brought different foods other than the norm. Brazita Bites introduced Wichita to the Brazilian treat, coxinha.

Roxie’s On The Go

My vote for best cinnamon roll goes to Roxie’s on the River, fortunately she also has a food truck that serves them…. on the go.

Face Stuffers Food Wagon

The new truck serves smash burgers, tacos and other American classics. They are often found out west during the week on Tyler Road.

Say No More Food Truck

A relatively new arrival to the food truck scene, they serve BBQ, fish, chicken and more.

Hana Hibachi

And if you happen to be in Augusta, KS, Hana Hibachi serves Japanese hibachi food on the go. Think Emperors but in Augusta.
