There’s a new bakery opened that specializes in cakes and desserts. What they specialize even more of is tres leches cake. It’s located in the building that’s attached to Goyo’s Mexican Fast Food. Alexandra’s Cakes officially opened this week and I have to say, they blew me away on my first visit.

Inside, they have many cupcakes, cookies, cakes, accessories, cake balls and more ready to take on the go.
There are even individual sized desserts like tres leches and flan available if you don’t want to take or order a full-size one.
What Alexandra’s Cakes prides themselves on is their specialty tres leches cake. If you’re unfamiliar with tres leches cake, it’s a sponge cake made with three different kinds of milk: evaporated milk, condensed milk, and heavy cream.
What sets Alexandra’s Cakes apart is the number of flavors they have. While most places have your traditional flavors available, this new bakery has it available in banana split, nutty pecan, coconut, pistachio and for this month…… pumpkin spice!!!
I had to have it and made sure I picked up an individual sized piece for $4. I shared it with my family and everyone loved it. It had such a beautiful sweet and creamy pumpkin flavor to it. It just might have been the memorable, if not the best, tres leches cake I’ve ever had.
We also ordered some chocolate flan while there along with an assortment of cake balls and a dulce de leche cupcake to go.
This place blew my socks off. I was so impressed with everything. My biggest regret was the tres leches cake wouldn’t make the drive home. It was upsetting because I wanted another one so what did I do when I got in my car?
I walked right back in, picked up another pumpkin spice tres leches cake and ate it in the car.
Here’s their menu:
Happy Dining,
