Wichita is full of supporters of our dining scene. I’ve been fortunate to meet many of them in my travels around town. One evening a light bulb went off in my head. Why not gather all of these supporters of our dining scene and create a little group of sorts?
I asked for foodies, influencers, bloggers and others to apply for a new food panel called The Neighborhood. My idea was to get feedback from others, suggestions and recommendations, and more input on the Wichita dining scene. After all, I’m sure many of you may be getting bored with reading just my opinion on this blog. Why not include others?
Hundreds of people applied, I reached out to many others and I’m happy to announce phase one of The Neighborhood. This is the first group of people that will be a part of this food panel. These are people who have played their own special part of the food scene and actively go out to try new restaurants all the time. Some names you may recognize from the various social media groups and pages. They are spread out all over Wichita so this panel isn’t just solely focused on one area of town. Over time I will include others but I wanted to start small and learn as I go on how to utilize The Neighborhood to benefit our restaurant community. My name is Aaron McMullin. I was born and raised in Wichita and love to live local. I am extremely proud to live in this great city and raise our kids here. I’ve been married for 8 years and we have a 6-year-old and a 2-year-old. Go Chiefs!
