While grabbing some dinner to celebrate a birthday, we ended up at River City Brewing Company. On Wednesdays, they have an $8 pizza special. All pizzas are $8 at the downtown restaurant. A few of us in the group partook in the special and here’s our experience.

So, exactly what pizzas do they have on the menu? Here’s a look at the ten pizzas that were available that evening.
We went with the BBQ Brisket pizza as well as the Buffalo Chicken. Then we also ordered the Kansan on a cauliflower crust.
My personal pick was the BBQ Brisket Pizza. It came out with a nice crispy thin crust. The brisket was tender and had a sweetness to it that was balanced out with the diced jalapeños and chopped up dill pickles that sat over the top. I love a good thin crust and River City Brewing Company did a great job here with theirs.
For our party, the Kansan on the cauliflower crust and the Buffalo Chicken were at the other end of the table. I didn’t get a chance to try either of the pizzas but both people were very impressed with it. I was told the cauliflower crust was still pretty tasty. While it was a little more dense, that wasn’t any sort of detriment to the pizza. The Kansas was basic by design but still big on flavor.
Compared to my last visit to River City Brewing Company, the service was an improvement. Our server did a great job of staying on top of things and our food came out in a very timely manner.
For $8, we definitely found the pizzas to be an incredible value for all the food we received. This is a deal worth putting on your calendar if you’re looking for a delicious Wednesday deal.
