I made a quick visit while they were out one evening. They were running a limited menu of a handful of items and I went with their breakfast tacos, esquites (Mexican street corn), and sweet potato biscuits and gravy.

My “brunch” for dinner started off with the esquites which I absolutely loved. It was freshly grilled corn topped with all sorts of goodness that gave it a sweet and bright pop. It was quite the addicting appetizer that kept me coming back for more.

My breakfast taco was made with chorizo and there was no shortage of that on the tortilla. While the taco did fall apart during it’s time of being devoured, it had a nice savory flavor that was a hit with my tastebuds.

Lastly, the sweet potato biscuits and gravy was a bit of a miss for me. The cheesy chorizo gravy didn’t have much of a cheesy or chorizo flavor to it. The potatoes were more on the mushy side which didn’t help matters. In theory, the thought of sweet potato biscuits and cheesy chorizo gravy sounded like a great idea but the execution left me wanting something more.

Two out of three though wasn’t bad though for me on a first visit to a new truck. I saw they had pozole soup and that sounds like something awesome to try in the fall and winter.

The crew working that day seemed really down to earth, chill and laid back. I loved their demeanor when stopping by which made for a worthwhile trip to their truck. Stay tuned for a revisited review for this new truck.
