I was such a big fan of Red Beans Bayou Grill and looked forward to trying out their meals. I noticed crawfish étouffée was scheduled to be out soon but on the day I stopped by, they didn’t have it. What they did have was the firecracker chicken pasta which was more than a suitable alternative.
A take and bake container was $13.99 and I headed straight home to grub.
There were basic instructions on the container. I slowly and carefully followed the steps to make sure I didn’t mess up because I tend to do that when I’m in a rush.
And the end result (minus the parmesan cheese sprinkled over the top):
It was excellent. I loved the sauce drizzling off of the firecracker chicken. It had a small kick of heat to it that I very much enjoyed. There was plenty of pasta and chicken to go around that filled me up before the bowl was empty. My only wish was for more of that sauce, it was delicious. There was a minor sweetness to it followed with some spice; very addicting. The whole take and bake concept made me feel like I was cooking at home. I’m sure most people don’t think it counts but I’m counting it.
It was great to finally be able to get some Red Beans food aside from their annual event. Up next, I must get my hands on the crawfish étouffée.
Here’s what all they had when I stopped by:
Happy Dining,
Eddy
