Reviewing Thunderbird Grill in Towanda, KS

During my Day of Dining in Towanda, KS, my next stop after HeBrews Cafe and Coffeehouse took me to Thunderbird Grill. This was my main reason for visiting Towanda as Thunderbird Grill has been towards the top of my list of places just outside of Wichita to dine at.

Thunderbird Grill had all the feels of a small-town burger stop. There was even a mini-little arcade section complete with my favorite game… skeeball.

While at the counter placing my order, I asked what the most popular item on the menu was. I was told it was their double cheeseburger. That ended up being my choice and I asked them to prepare it however they felt best along with some tater tots.

Within ten minutes after placing my order, this beauty arrived at my table.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with my burger as I never once looked at pictures of their food. This was completely new experience for me and I was quite impressed. I love my burgers juicy and accompanied by a soft bun that forms to the patties and doesn’t fall apart. Thunderbird Grill hit both points for me.

The double cheeseburger was the perfect size for my appetite. Often times, I make the mistake of ordering a single patty burger and leave craving more.

As for the tater tots, they were fried to a picture perfect golden crisp. I ate my meal and realized there wasn’t a single negative thing to say about my meal.

Kudos to Thunderbird Grill for an excellent meal making my trip to Towanda worth it.
