A nonprofit coffee shop to take over recently closed Ecclesia space

Sojourner’s Coffee House plans to take over the former Ecclesia Coffee Shop space at 7130 W. Maple that closed in December.

The nonprofit coffee shop will be owned by Larry and Ashley King who starting it as a place for the community but specifically a place for active duty military, veterans, and their families. Larry is a veteran of the United States Air Force and integrating a military mindset with civilian and family life can be challenging. This is a road they have been down and want to help others in similar situations.

Sojourner’s Coffee House will host guided groups and events specifically for military veterans and families to help integrate and navigate military life with civilian life.

They also have a goal to provide financial support to Passageways by donating profits to them monthly.

The Kings are currently renovating the space.
