Lots of restaurants have been struggling over the past year. I’ve been wanting to revisit many of those restaurants especially the ones I know who have done things within our community such as be a part of my Dine Out Wichita event last year. One of those places is District Taqueria. Since COVID-19, they’ve changed hours and limited their menu because of everything going on in the world.

As noted, their menu has been slimmed down to just include ten meat options which can be used as tacos, taco bowls, burritos or quesadillas.
On one of my visits, I asked them to just surprise me with any three tacos. I didn’t even ask what they brought me but I believe they were pork carnitas, Caribbean pork and falafel. One of my favorite things at District Taqueria is their pork especially topped with their delicious toppings like the pickled cactus and green chile salsa.
Some people get upset with the price but I truly believe you get what you pay for; high-quality ingredients.
I enjoyed the falafel so much, I actually stopped by another time for a falafel burrito. The cilantro lime rice really hits the spot and livens up the big chunks of falafel.
I am in the downtown area often so having District Taqueria is pretty convenient when I need to meet people for business. I know what I’m getting and it’s always consistent.
