Arby’s King’s Hawaiian Fish Deluxe Sandwich Review

The fish sandwich battle has started with the arrival of Lent. After Popeye’s released their Cajun Flounder sandwich, I wanted to go around town and see what other fish sandwiches were out there. My latest stop brought me to Arby’s for their King’s Hawaiian Fish Deluxe sandwich.

The King’s Hawaiian Fish Deluxe Sandwich features a crispy fish fillet, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and tartar sauce on a King’s Hawaiian Bub. It cost $4.49 for the sandwich itself or you can get the meal for just under $7.

We love Hawaiian rolls at home and in theory should make for a good bun with it being sweet and soft. Unfortunately, they were too soft and did not do a great job of holding the sandwich together. The bun fell apart quickly.

Taste-wise the sandwich was pretty lifeless. There wasn’t much tartar sauce on it. The cheddar cheese was gloppy and lifeless as if it had been sitting out for a while. The crispy fish fillet was very dense, not at all flaky or crispy and bland.

Arby’s fish sandwich was a hard pass for me. At least they have some awesome curly fries, though.

Happy Dining,
Eddy
