Let’s Review Dunkin’!

Let’s review Dunkin’!

Dunkin’ is a national coffee and donut chain founded in Quincy, Massachusetts, in 1950. They are one of the largest coffee and donut shop chains in the world with approximately 12,900 locations in 42 countries. Our #SaturChains (weekend coverage of Chains) review took us to the new Dunkin’ location at 409 E 47th St. S.

My family is no stranger to Dunkin’. It’s on our rotation of places we visit predominantly in the morning and mostly because of their iced coffee. For Megan, it’s one of her favorite places in town for it. For me, it’s one of those places I’ll stop by when I feel like I’m in the doghouse and want to surprise her with something. And with that, I just gave away my secret make life better at home trick and will have to find something new.

On one of our most recent visits, we also tried out their snackin bacon. While what I receive didn’t necessarily look like the pictures, I still enjoyed it. There was a strong hint of brown sugar and sweet black pepper seasoning in each bite. The ads make it look like the bacon is hanging out of the bag. What I got was a bag of what appeared to be the leftover bacon pieces that nobody wanted.

We also ordered some hash browns and donuts. The hash browns were fantastic. A small bag of 6 hash browns cost 99-cents so you will probably want to order more.

And their donuts are probably the most consistent thing there. I’ve been going to Dunkin’ for decades back to when they called themselves Dunkin’ Donuts. I can even remember a gentleman who used to work at the now-closed Central and Woodlawn location. He now works at the Central and Rock Dillons…. really nice guy. But back to the donuts, we’ve been eating them for years and know what I’m getting with every bite.

Here’s their menu:

Happy Dining,
