Is a BBQ restaurant going in the former Charlie’s Famous Burgers space?

It’s been closed since 2017, but it appears there is new life in the former Charlie’s Famous Burgers space at 3200 W. 13th St. Thanks to one reader, the exterior of the building has been painted with what appears to be signs of a future BBQ restaurant.

At the west end of the building, the words BBQ and Ribs are painted in graffiti art. The word Burgers is painted near the entrance door.

On the east facing wall, there is a mural of dogs chowing down on some chicken legs, ribs, corn, hot dogs and more. Then a Dallas Cowboys symbol is painted on the door.

Perhaps this is Wichita’s first dedicated doggie restaurant serving BBQ that also serves as a sanctuary for Cowboys fans. I don’t know, but I’ll be keeping an eye on the progress of this place. Stay tuned for more.

Happy Dining,
Eddy
