The original plan was to open a restaurant out west that served Cambodian dishes with Asian, Cajun and American flare but that has all changed. Happy Eggroll which started out as a home-based business had been looking to open a restaurant and will when they take over the former Fredos space that closed last month at 301 N. Washington.
The new name of the restaurant will be Headz & Tailz Whisky Bar. They will celebrate their grand opening on Friday, March 12 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Their menu will feature fresh crawdads, fresh dungeness crab, snow crab legs, king crab, lobsters, mussels, and jumbo shrimp. There will also be some different sauce options that is guaranteed to be “Riel Saucy” which is a play on the owner’s name. Much of what you can expect will have a bit of Khmer-Cajun flair which is a mix of Cambodian and Cajun fusion. There will also be some non-seafood items on the menu as well. As you can also imagine, there will be a fully stocked bar.
Stay tuned for our first look at Headz & Tailz Whisky Bar. Until then, you can follow them on Facebook.
