A new tap room called Social Tap is coming soon to Braeburn Square on the Wichita State campus at 4510 E 19th St. N. It’ll be located in the same area of campus that houses Fuzzy’s Taco Shop and Journey East Asia Grill.
Once open, they will feature 52 different beers and wines. Their goal is to provide a variety of everything to drink for every person in an atmosphere designed for everyone.
Social Tap’s plan is to utilize technology help streamline customers ordering experience. You will have the opportunity to order from our online platform from any table, anywhere in the building and once your drink has been poured you will receive a text that it’s ready at the pickup station.
Social interaction is the whole purpose for Social Tap. This won’t have your typical sports bar feel. In fact, they will only have one 165-inch LED wall. The LED wall will be able to display local art, videos around the community but it also won’t stop them from showing a Shocker baseball, softball or basketball game that may be on TV.
The new drinkery will also have food available through a built-in virtual kitchen company called Create Kitchens inside their facility. There will be up to three working restaurants within their virtual kitchen that diners can order from either their online app/website or from kiosks in the establishment.
And when the weather gets nice, there will be a patio with a capacity of roughly 65 people which overlooks the pond at Braeburn Square.
There’s no firm opening date but when that is shared with me, I’ll be sure to pass it on.
