Planet Sub Review

If you follow this blog often, you’ll know I’m not exactly a huge sub sandwich guy. It’s not something I typically order but wanted to stop by Planet Sub for a review since it’s been years since I last had a sub from there. The oven-baked sub chain has two locations in Wichita: one in Delano and one on West Central. For the purpose of this review, we stopped by their west location.

During our visit, we ordered their Smoky Southwest Chicken on wheat. I asked them to surprise me and I’m fairly certain, I was given the Torpedo sub toasted.

As far as simple subs go, they were decent. We don’t particularly think there was anything memorable about what we received. One of the drawbacks was that our subs weren’t filled with that much meat. There was more bread and vegetables than anything in our subs. The bread was also best described as decent. We had them toasted which gave it a nice crunchy exterior.

For $10.49 per sub, we weren’t quite sure it’d be a place we’d return to anytime soon. Decent subs but a little overpriced.

Here’s their menu:
