One of the new food trucks to arrive in 2020 was The Rolling Greek. They were the city’s first Greek food truck. They were out at Great Image Designs over the weekend and I figured why not stop by for a quick revisited review.
When I first visited The Rolling Greek, they had a limited menu during their first week. This was my first chance to see their expanded menu which included Gyros, salads, platters and sides.
I decided to go with their Greek Platter with lamb and a Greek salad. They asked if I wanted spicy and I did not hesitate to say yes.
The lamb was pure bliss. It had a soft tenderness that I loved. The meat was flavorful and filling especially when mixed with the rice and their hot chili sauce. Lamb is one of my favorite proteins and was always a favorite of mine at their old Greek Plus restaurant. The salad was much better than I recall from their opening. This was definitely zestier and more vibrant in flavor.
For safe measure, I grabbed a baklava to go as well and it was pretty good. Baklava isn’t really my thing but it was quite tasty.
All in all, it was a fantastic meal. I’ve always been a big fan of their Greek Plus restaurant that used to be in the mall and hope they can continue to be serving their food in Wichita via their food truck for years to come.
