First Look at Fat Boi Eats

While at The Stop, I came across a local cook who has been doing little pop-up events at the bar. The business is called Fat Boi Eats. After speaking to the owner, I learned he’s been around the local restaurant scene and decided to branch out on his own. Along with the pop-ups, he also does catering.

If you follow Fat Boi Eats on Facebook, you’ll be able to see where their pop-ups are located at. Here lately, they’ve been at The Stop after 8 or 9 p.m. The menu also changes from day to day. Some days, he’ll have burgers or wings.

I stopped by the day they were making Cajun Fat Boi Alfred which included chicken, shrimp and sausage. A half serving was $6 and a full order was $12. Of course, I went with the full order and had them make it as spicy as they wanted.

It was a hefty portion of food that I ate over two days. It was just as good the day of as it was the next day reheated. There were plenty of chicken, sausage and shrimp chunks to help fill you up. I particularly loved the seasoning and sauce which gave it a very bold and distinguished flavor that made you want to keep coming back for more; just an extremely flavorful dish.

The moment I heard Cajun Fat Boi Alfredo, I had really high expectations for it and they delivered. I was told by a friend they have some fantastic wings as well so I’ll have to return one day to check those out too. Until then, you can follow them on Facebook to see where they’ll be at next.

Happy Dining,
Eddy
