After nearly two years of waiting for Los Compadres to reopen their west side location, a new restaurant will now take over the space. Los Cabos Cantina & Grill will be the new eatery to reside at 3827 W. 13th St. N.
The food could have some familiarity in town as the owner manages La Hacienda on West Kellogg and used to own El Mariachi Mexican Restaurant that closed last year.
Los Cabos, which has no relation to the short-lived location on west Central, had hoped to be open at the start at the end of 2020. Like any typical restaurant opening, some delays took place and owners have now penciled in April 28 for their grand opening.
