With nearly hundreds and hundreds of successful food challenges under his belt, professional eater and YouTube star, Randy Santel, is coming to Wichita to hopefully add to his tally. He’s done a 5lb calzone, 2.5lb cupcake, 24 tacos, 6lb burrito, you name it, he’s probably completed it.
A source told me earlier this week that Santel was planning on coming to Wichita. I was able to confirm the rumor with Santel who is in the process of traveling the Midwest completing challenges.
His plan is to arrive in May after he makes stops in Nebraska, Missouri, Iowa and South Dakota. According to his schedule, he has a few stops in Kansas City and Overland Park. He told me the plan would then be to head to Wichita around the third week of May.
He has not decided which food challenge he intends to add to his schedule but I recommended the “Go Pho Yourself” challenge at Vietnom Nom that we covered a little over a year ago. It’s the only food challenge in the Wichita area that I have not heard or seen completed.
The most recent professional eater to stop in Wichita was Brandon Clark aka Da Garbage Disposal who completed the Spicy Level 14 Ramen at Xing Xing at the end of 2020.
