Revisiting PourHouse and their new food menu

Having been essentially everywhere to eat in Wichita, I’m always looking for a reason to return to different places for lunch or dinner. Fortunately, one of Wichita’s downtown breweries has a new food menu. I sent over a message to some friends who were quick to join along on our revisited look at PourHouse.

Like many places in town, PourHouse had to slim down their staff and menu. With businesses starting to open up and more people getting out of the house, they were finally able to release a new menu and expand their staff.

Our server was very jovial, upbeat and engaging throughout lunch. She did an excellent job and kept us, not just happy, but laughing.

To begin our lunch, we went with their sauce flight with fries. Their sauces included a Teter Fry Sauce, Warbeard Queso, Falconer’s Wheat Honey Mustard and Coffee Porter Bacon Jam. We all loved the sauces. As many of you know, I’m a huge condiment fan and couldn’t stop digging in. I’m not sure which sauce I loved the most. If I had to choose, I would say either the Falconer’s Wheat Honey Mustard or the Coffee Porter Bacon Jam. Hell, I really loved them all.

My picture ability sucked and I only got three of the sauces in the picture

For our entrees, we went all across the board. I went with the Hatch Chile Burger (beef patty topped with Swiss, hatch chile salsa, and more Swiss). My two friends went with the Spicy Cuban and the Kolsh Fish & Chips.

I didn’t get much feedback from my friends. For what it’s worth though, they finished their meals with ease which is always a good sign.

My Hatch Chile Burger was delicious. It was juicy, didn’t fall apart throughout the process of eating, and had some intense taste bud popping flavor. The Hatch Chile Salsa was a knockout. I loved every second of it and was craving more and more of the salsa.

I’ve enjoyed my food on every visit to PourHouse and this stop was no different. If you’ve never had them before, I’d also recommend the wings which I ordered the time before.

Here’s the menu:

Happy Dining,
Eddy
