News outlets have been reporting that a Club Car Wash is set to take over the land where Tacos Raymundo sits at. If everything goes as planned, the restaurant will be gone by some time in May. The future then would be up in the air on what would happen to them. I wanted to give them one possible blog to give them what could be a last hoorah.

Complimentary chips and salsa is given to all customers. It’s one of the few places that offers warm and heated salsa along with a regular mild salsa. It’s definitely different, a little runnier and unique from many other nearby Mexican restaurants.
On my latest visit to Tacos Raymundo, I decided to go a different route. I went with a big bowl of pozole which included chunks of pork in a red broth with hominy. It was served with chips, bread and tortillas.
To be completely honest, I’m not a big fan of hominy but I loved the red broth. It was earthy, rich and full of robust flavors. Big chunks of tender pork gave the dish some much-needed texture. If it was just the pork and the broth, I’d probably order a lot more pozole. With the possible closure of Tacos Raymundo, I may have to find another place to go for pozole.
If Club Car Wash does indeed take over which seems to be the case, go give Tacos Raymundo some much-needed love as they await their unknown future.
