BrightWater Bay Loft: The perfect staycation or venue for any occasion

Let me tell you about The Loft at BrightWater Bay. It’s a new addition to the venue located in southwest Wichita that we originally wrote about last year.

SO let’s start off with, “What is BrightWater Bay?” It’s a private resort area set up like a traditional VRBO/Airbnb that overlooks a 44-acre private lake which you can rent out. In the past year, they added a Loft to the area that is available for rent.

We recently used it for one of the kid’s 13th birthday party. I LOVE celebrating birthdays and putting together parties, so this was a cool way to do something unique.

The Loft at BrightWater Bay is connected to the Beach House. It’s a studio with lofted sleeping quarters. Their modern space has a king-size bed, queen size Murphy bed / couch combo, and two twin beds. The Loft comes complete with a kitchenette that includes a Keurig, toaster oven, microwave and fridge/freezer.

As a guest at the Loft, you also get access to their outdoor game zone and lake.

During the day, we had the jet ski out we rented from Marine World who was great to work with. The kids kayaked and paddleboard and used every amount of energy I could squeeze out of them. Some people even went fishing. Family and friends came out and enjoyed the venue as well. Then in the evening, we made s’mores, watched movies, I brought the projector and screen out, play cornhole, and enjoyed an evening under the stars.

The kids loved it. The Loft was incredibly spacious and they loved being able to spread out and essentially have the place to themselves.

Our rental ran from 3 p.m. until 11 a.m. the next day. It was a fun birthday which achieved exactly what I wanted. I firmly believe kids birthdays should always be celebrated and memorable moments they can look back on fondly.

What does something like this cost? It varies on day of the week and season, but the pricing is available on their Airbnb listing. It’s roughly $179 a night which I think is a steal.

There was an event taking place at their event venue but they were great and did not distract or interfere with our gathering at all. It was still quiet and peaceful for everyone…. well, I’m not sure the kids were really that quiet but you get the gist.
