After a little over a year in business, Shawarma Restaurant announced they will be closing their doors for good on Saturday, June 19. Located at 2020 N Woodlawn St., they replaced Zaytun Bistro who closed at Brittany Center in 2019.
Shawarma Restaurant is a Mediterranean restaurant and grocery store specializing in Middle Eastern food. They were dealt a bad hand when they opened right before the pandemic started. They served an all-you-can-eat buffet but than Covid-19 changed everything.
The restaurant will be open until Saturday, June 19 with a limited menu. The grocery section is 50% off and will be available until the end of June. For more, be sure to follow them on Facebook.
