Milkfloat Revisited

There’s a popular spot in Delano that’s always in our rotation when we’re near downtown and looking for dessert. It’s Milkfloat. They are a scratch dessert bakery, with homemade ice cream, milkshakes, and a wide variety of hot and iced drinks.

I’ve lost count of how many times we’ve been there. My daughter is not even two yet and has probably been there more times than most of the city. I know what most people are thinking, I’m such a model parent taking my kid to eat all these sweets.

On my most recent visit, we stopped by to try one of their Nutella cheesecakes, a chocolate chip cookie and their peach cobbler milkshake.

Our daughter thinks any sweet is called cake so she was loving every second of it. Megan had the cheesecake which was delicious as usual. We got our daughter the cookie but all she wanted to do was take in as much of my milkshake as possible.

I’ve started to come to terms that anything I order has the possibility of being eaten by someone else and I’m just the garbage disposal for any leftover sweets. So on this visit, she actually had the milkshake while I ate the cookie.

Truth be told, we all had the milkshake and we all loved it. I’d honestly go as far to say that it was one of the best ones I’ve had in town. It’d definitely bring this boy back to Milkfloat’s yard if you catch my drift.

If you’re looking for a chill place to hang out at, Milkfloat has plenty of seating to give you a cool space to enjoy your desserts.

  1. Last time I was there very understaffed, long line to order. So I just left, it’s not worth the wait plus the high prices make it a great place to avoid.
