It’s been over two years since Pasta Express opened on east Harry. They are a quick-service Italian restaurant that was started by some of the people from Sweet Basil. The closest comparison in terms of style is a Fazoli’s where it’s an order at the counter experience. Our first experience wasn’t the greatest so this has been on our list to revisit.

For our order, we had the exact same meal as last time to see if it had improved.
We ordered the chicken alfredo, meat lasagna and meat manicotti. Each meal came with two breadsticks.
Once again, everyone was a fan of the breadsticks which were nice, soft and fluffy.
The kids had no idea this was a place they had before and didn’t like. I wanted to give them, what they thought was a new restaurant to get fresh thoughts.
First bite in and everyone was quite impressed with the food. Last time, the meals were overcooked, bland and missing something.
This time around, they were admittedly immensely better. The dishes were well-seasoned, the sauces had a sweetness to them, and simply tastier. The portion sizes were good-sized.
By no means, did I think they were on the levels of some of the more casual Italian places in town. But for those in a pinch or looking for a quick meal, they were very satisfying with those expectations.
We will be giving them another go in the future to try other dishes and look forward to going back.
