Hatman Jack’s

One of Wichita’s biggest secrets lies on Douglas in the Delano District. What many people don’t know is that for close to 50 years, one of the nation’s largest hat shops that specializes in quality hat fitting and custom hats has been right in front of our eyes. Hatman Jack’s has made purchasing hats a personal experience.

While you can buy hats pretty much anywhere in town, Hatman Jack’s has set out to offer something different and unique for the customer. They have spent years helping people understand how to choose the right hat, how to wear it and find one that fits perfectly.

Customers aren’t just in Wichita. Hatman Jack’s has had their products appear on the heads of many celebrities like B.B. King, Merle Haggard, Mickey Mantle, Alan Jackson and many more. They’re work has also been in movies and television shows throughout the years.

Whether it’s a Western, dress, driving cap, women’s, casual, period piece, or outdoor hat, they have many options for you.

Kids? They have that too.

But the true star at Hatman Jack’s comes in the form of their custom-made hats. They use old-world equipment and make sure the hats fits the customer to perfection. The hats are tailored to bring a personalization that is unique for every single customer. Something as simple as this turns into magic.

If you aren’t looking for a custom hat though, Hatman Jack’s has thousands of hats to choose from with an incredible amount of variety. Just by walking into the store, I felt like a classy individual.

I went in recently to look for a gift and felt I received a free education lesson on the world of hats. The staff there was incredibly help; you could tell they lived and breathed all things hats.

Hatman Jack’s is located at 601 W. Douglas. For more information, check them out on Facebook or visit their website. You can also reach them at 316-264-4881.
