A twist on a current Wichita concept has opened in the former Pizza Hut space at 8977 W. Central Ave. Introducing Electric Pizzeria feat. Slappin’ Chicken. Many people may be familiar with Electric Pizzeria which opened at West and Maple in 2019.
This second restaurant will feature the same pizzas but also an expanded menu of chicken wings and sauces.

We stopped by real quick to get a look at the chicken wings and unfortunately with the shortage of wings, they weren’t exactly ready to roll out all the wings.
I went with a 10 wing order and asked for the competition dry BBQ rub and the sweet Thai chili wings. Truth be told, the order took well longer than I would have liked. I rarely comment on time of delivery, but this one was well beyond what I’ve seen and they didn’t seem to upset about it.
Once the wings came out, they were a little on the cold side. On the bright side though, they were fairly meaty. My favorite of the two was the sweet Thai chili. It was like a sweet heat that ended up being very flavorful. The other wings were a bit salty, but not so much that it ruined the wings. Just personal preference, the former ended up being the better of the two.
Supposedly, they’ll be rolling more out to the new Electric Pizzeria spot so perhaps I’ll be back soon for a revisited review.
