A new pop-up shop has been around Wichita at various events called Travieso’s Food Company. I’ve seen pictures of their stuff around social media and it immediately caught my attention. Their menu is simple and perfect for food truck rallies, farmers market and other events. Everything consist of fries covered in deliciousness.

I saw them at an event at Naftzger Park and swung by to pick up their signature Chile Verde Pork Fries. They had two sizes, a small for $7 and a large for $10. I went with a small and it took a few minutes for my dish to be presented to me.
It was a to go container of fries and topped with chile verde, pork, and cheese. Don’t let the picture fool you, it was a heaping portion of food that had me stuffed.
There was only one negative of the dish for me and it’s that the fries were a bit soggy having been coated in cheese and chile verde but having some crispy fries would have added some nice texture to the meal. But all that aside, the chile verde was excellent, flavorful and delicious. Nice chunks of pork also filled the container. It really was the perfect dish for an outside event.
Travieso’s has been on my list for some time to try and I’m glad I finally did. It was definitely worth the $7 price tag. I’d 100% get it again.
Here’s the menu:

Eddy! You didn’t even mention the “Liquid Death”! Inquiring minds must know, so a second review is required for your readers that are far, far away 🙂
They were sold out when I arrived.
