One of the biggest festivals in Wichita set for October 23 and it’s free!

If you haven’t put it on your calendar yet, I strongly encourage you all to set aside some time on Saturday, October 23 to attend the 40th Annual Wichita Asian Festival. It takes place at the Century II Convention and Exhibition Halls from 5-9:30pm. And best of all, the event is free for everybody to attend.

For your price of free, here’s what you get to be a part of:

  • On stage performances highlighting a variety of Asian culture

  • Cultural and artistic events from more than 15 Asian countries represented

  • Over 50 vendor booths – shop for Asian food and a variety of arts items

  • Kid’s Corner – Your children will enjoy an assortment of Asian children’s activities, and more

Let’s face it, you all love Asian food. I know you do. There will be so many food vendors, food trucks and local restaurants on hand serving different ethnicities of food; many dishes you don’t typically see at restaurants around town. You’ll get to see traditional clothing from the different countries. Vendors will also be on hand selling arts and crafts. You’ll definitely want to bring some extra cash with you.

This is a very family-friendly event for people of all backgrounds.
