I always see important news regarding restaurants. So, I figured why not put a bunch together when I see it for some quick hits on good things to know like temporary closings, hours changing, vacations, openings, etc?
Thai Riffic Food Truck: The Thai food truck located in Derby has reopened. They will resume their normal hours of Thursday through Saturday, 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Rene’s Restaurant: The late night Mexican restaurant on West Street has been closed due to staffing but reopens on Thursday, September 2.
Margarita’s Cantina: The restaurant will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 6.
Da Cajun Shak: The restaurant will be closed on Saturday, September 4 through Monday, September 6.
The Mustard Seed: The restaurant will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 6.
Shane’s Sugar Cafe: The restaurant will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 6.
Thai Cafe: The restaurant will be closed on Saturday, September 4.
Sojourner’s Coffee House: New hours for the coffee house on Maple. Monday to Wednesday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday and Friday 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Pho Chopstix: The Vietnamese restaurant on Ridge Road will be closed on Sunday, September 5 to Monday, September 6. They will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, September 7.
Sweet House: The dessert spot in Union Station has updated their hours to Friday and Saturday 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday 2 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and closed Monday through Thursday.
Thunderbird Grill: Towanda’s popular burger stop will be closed on Saturday, September 4 and Monday, September 6 for Labor Day.
Puerto Vallarta Mexican Restaurant: Due to a family emergency, the restaurant was closed until further notice. They finally reopened on Thursday.
NuWay Burgers: Due to a staff and supply shortages, the “crumbly is better” restaurant will be closed on Mondays in September.
Sharon’s Place: The Hawaiian restaurant in Derby will be closed on Saturday, September 4.
Snoasis Shaved Ice: Tuesday will be the last day of business for Snoasis for 2021.
Slushy Hut – Summer Snow: Wednesday marks the last day of the season for Slushy Hut in Andover. They will be open from 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Social Tap: New hours for Social Tap are Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Sungrano Pizza: New hours for Sungrano are Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Wheatly’s Burgers: New hours for Social Tap are Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and closed on Sunday.
Blue Hook Cajun Seafood & Bar: Throughout the month of September, Blue Hook will be offering half-priced crawfish.
Old Tokyo Steakhouse: Throughout the month of September, kids is free with the purchase of any adult meal.
