Kpop Stop and Anime

Five months ago, a new shop opened up at 211 N. Hillside St. called Kpop Stop and Anime. As you can guess by the name, the locally owned stores carries Kpop and anime merchandise. The items can be hard to find and rare collectibles that you may not see around town.

I have many friends and family that are really into the global phenomenon that has grown even more popular in the states thanks to groups like BTS. If you’re a fan of either, Kpop Stop and Anime has you covered.

To be completely honest, it’s an area I know very little about. But what I do know is there’s an audience for this merchandise. On my visit there, there were plenty of customers browsing through the wide selection of stuff they carried.

They had posters, magnets, figurines, apparel, stuffed animals, magazines, books, backpacks, Pokémon, totes, pillows, and so many more things that made me feel old because I didn’t know what it was. Here’s a small glimpse of what you’ll find inside.

It was like walking into a world that was completely new to me. But if I can use this platform to show someone interested in Kpop and anime that there’s a shop just for them, then that’s what I’ll do.
