With National Taco Day, I wanted to venture out and do something different for the foodie holiday. I stopped by VietNom Nom for some of their Asian fusion tacos. It’s one of the unique dishes the Vietnamese restaurant offers to change things up.
VietNom Nom offers two different types of tacos, fried and soft (lightly grilled). They come with your choice of grilled pork, chicken, steak, shrimp or there’s a Vegan option. Each taco comes with cilantro, green onions, pickled veggies, Sriracha, jalapenos and a sesame ginger cream sauce.
The taste is very similar to a traditional Bánh mi. I had one of each taco with grilled chicken in one and grilled pork in the other. Both meats were super tender with a tasty grilled flavor to it. Two was just enough to give me a light, but filling meal.
The tacos run $3.49 a piece or are available at 2 for $5.58 on Tuesdays.
If the tacos don’t fill you up, you can always grab an additional meal while you’re there!
