I love a good food pop up shop and the latest one took place at Central Standard Brewing. It’s Pho with Lisa and Shane. If you’ve ever been to Kobe Steak House, you may be familiar with Lisa and Shane Davis who help hold down the fort there.
Every so often, they put on a pop up to dish out a warm bowl of Pho Tai Bo Vien (rare steak & meatballs). The day was a perfect fall weather afternoon for pho. They were selling bowls for $8 each which came with all the fixings.
The patio at CSB was a great place to enjoy Lisa and Shane’s pho. It was rich, hearty and just the right dish for a Sunday afternoon. While I was there, I also picked up some of CSB’s Guava Pink Lemonade Yard Games rose.
Here over the past couple of years, the food pop-ups have picked up around town. It’s a great outlet for cooks out there to show their stuff. If you ever get a chance to check some out in Wichita, do so. And if they are hosted by Lisa and Shane, 100% do so.
Happy Dining,
Eddy
