The Popcorner Revisited

If you’re looking for delicious gourmet popcorn from a locally owned and operated business, I’d highly recommend The Popcorner. It’s a place I’ve gone to multiple times in the past. They have two locations in Wichita on each side of town. I have never been to the west side store, so I thought why not stop by, check it out and give him a shout out.

The Popcorner has it all when it comes to popcorn treats. They offer tins, bags, flavored popcorn, create your own flavored popcorn, seasonal flavors, whatever you can imagine, they’ve probably came up with it.

If you love eating for a cause, sometimes, they offer deals such as in October, when sales of certain flavors go to support breast cancer awareness.

On my most recent visit, I picked up Dill Pickle, Birthday Cake, Jalapeno Cheddar, and Tuxedo Gourmet.

While all the flavors were fantastic, the Dill Pickle blew me away. It had just the right amount of dill pickle flavor that I couldn’t put the bag down. Each bite was light on the dill flavor, but had a stronger aftertaste that kept you coming back for more. The Tuxedo Gourmet was great for any sweets lover. The Birthday Cake has been a huge favorite of my nieces for years, and the Jalapeno Cheddar offered a good blend of heat which was suitable for all levels of heat tolerance.

Mix in delicious popcorn, a well-run local business and friendly folks and that’s all the reasons to stop by and pick up a bag or two….or ten.

  1. I manage to land there every two or three weeks and load up…my new favorite is the dark chocolate caramel cookie crunch…lol…although I do get the cinnamon apple and the cinnamon spice a lot too. The brownies are melt in your mouth good too…and now I’m getting hungry again. I guess it’s a good thing I’ve got a pumpkin spice and a caramel apple here in my desk at work.
