Three days of deliciousness arriving in Wichita this week

October is getting ready to come to a close. I’m not sure I can recall the last time a month has ended on so much deliciousness. Three of the final four days of the month should be very exciting as lots of new and old favorites will be making their arrival or return to Wichita.

THURSDAY

Big B’s Beef Chicago-Style Pizza Pop-Up
The food truck, popular for their Chicago-style food, will be introducing their Chicago-style pizzas to Wichita via a pop-up that takes place at The Fusion Restaurant at 1812 W. Douglas from Thursday to Saturday between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. You can order either their tavern-style, deep dish, or stuffed pizza. You won’t find anything like it in town. For more, check out their Facebook event.

Tianluo Bistro’s Grand Opening
Wichita’s newest Szechuan Chinese restaurant, Tianluo Bistro, has been operating under a soft opening pretense, but is now ready to celebrate their grand opening. They have many dishes that you either won’t find or don’t see often at other Chinese restaurants. Between their hand-pulled noodles, Dandan noodles, dumplings and more, it’s a must try for everyone. Follow them on Facebook.

Tacos El Sol Re-opening
Barring any bad weather or setbacks, one of the best food trucks in town reopens. They can be found at the corner of South 31st and Meridian inside the Davis parking lot at 3180 S Meridian Ave. Follow them on Facebook.

FRIDAY

Sorrel’s Jamaican Restaurant Re-opening
Have you been missing Sorrel’s? The Jamaican restaurant returns Friday when they take over the  3802 E. Harry St. space formerly held by Next Level Cafe. You’ll be able to find all the old favorites from their past location and food truck along with new additions like jerk fried chicken, seafood fries with crab, shrimp and lobster, jerk ribs and jerk chicken tacos.

SATURDAY

St. Mary’s of Derby and St. Margaret Mary’s Vietnamese Food Fundraiser
It’s time to eat for a cause again. The big Vietnamese dinner pickup fundraiser is taking place again with pickup on Saturday, October 30 between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. They will have egg rolls, crab rangoon, lo mein, fried rice, pho and bun. While there will be a limited amount available to purchase on the spot on Saturday, people are asked to place their orders ahead of time. Pre-orders can be placed by emailing them at smylelaugh@hotmail.com and payment can be made via PayPal, cash or check. Pick up will be at St. Margaret Mary parish at 2701 S. Pattie.

Happy Dining,
Eddy
