Wichita Asian Festival is a free-to-attend event full of food, culture and fun

Clear up your calendar this Saturday. On October 23, the 40th Annual Wichita Asian Festival takes place at Century II from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. What many people forget about the festival is that it’s free for anybody to attend.

It’s the biggest bang for your buck event taking place this month.

There will be 18 food and 5 craft vendors to representing 9 countries across Asia. For example, if you love the food from the Filipino Pinoy Market, they’ll be there! While the event is free to attend, food is available for purchase.

You can also enjoy watching 11 cultural performances, representing 8 countries. And one of the biggest attractions of the event is the Miss Wichita Asian Festival cultural scholarship pageant.

There’s a bit of everything for anybody who walks through the Century II doors. As for food, it’s one of my favorite festivals for it in town.
