Earlier this morning, the Eagle was reporting that the landlord of the space Augustino Brewing Company resides in filed a petition for eviction of the brewery citing past due rent.
That left questions for what would happen to The Angry Elephant who subleased part of the space at 756 N. Tyler Road. The popular BBQ restaurant has been operating out of the building since 2019. Answers were finally made public via the Wichita By E.B. Foodie Friends Facebook group and on their Facebook page.
The brewery and BBQ restaurant operate as two separate companies. Once Augustino Brewing Company and the landlord comes to an agreement, The Angry Elephant will take over the unoccupied space and convert it to a sports bar.
It’s just more big news for the restaurant who still intends to open a location in south Wichita as well.
